The list of garbage disposal problems and solutions

In any modern day kitchen there is bound to be a fridge, a sink along with a cabinet. It is an obvious fact that you would not pay much heed to garbage disposal repair. There are chances that the sink would have been removed and a garbage system would have replaced it. Any garbage disposal system needs proper attention along with care. Let us now go through some of the pointers associated with garbage disposal system.

How do you expect food to be a major problem? Any efficient garbage disposal repair system is expected to cut down on the food so that no major problem arises. A few exceptions to this are banana peels or egg shells.

This could be classified into the domain of the same problem. When you are going to put it down to the garbage disposal system, then some traces or sludge will stick on to the pipe. In a short span of time this is going to form clogs on the pipes. Slowly a situation reaches where nothing could go on to pass through the pipe. The same thought applies to potato peels which can go on to clog your drains quickly. Do keep in mind that bones are considered to be part of food and it should not be part of a garbage disposal system.

Water shortage

Before you plan to turn on the garbage system there needs to be an efficient supply of water. This would prevent any form of materials not to stick to the spin cycle and then create havoc. It would be much better if you could do it after washing the dishes. Once you have run the disposal and then turned it on to keep the water running for another 40 seconds and ensure each and everything is flushed out as well.

When there is lack of water the waste that is mushed up does not make an entry into the pipes. When water is not there the food stops in the pipes and tries to make some roof for itself. This is going to lead to a point where the pipes clog and does go on to pose a major problem.

Surprisingly in the list of common garbage disposal repair problems this does not make it to the list. A couple of methods are there pertaining to garbage disposal. The first is a regular disposal method and this is not suggested if there are little kids in the house. There are strong chances of some dangerous things happening at this point of time. It does not wait for the disposal system to be switched on. The moment anything enters the drain the grinder starts to and fro.

A point that has come to the notice is that people put their hands down the drain to observe whether anything has gone on to drain or not. There are blades in this and they would not know the difference between food and finger.
